AIA is a nonprofit educational foundation and fund-administration group, founded in 2018 and headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Funding Requirements

We invest in early-stage, high-growth potential companies — especially those in sectors aligned with “Fourth Industrial Revolution” technologies such as advanced manufacturing, clean energy, aerospace, robotics, software, and AI.
Our focus is regionally oriented: investing primarily in the Appalachian region.

Value add

Capital aggregation & access: AIA enables accredited investors in small and mid-sized communities to pool their capital into angel and micro-venture funds — which many could not do on their own.

Professional fund management & deal support: Providing shared technical & education services — due diligence, deal structuring, valuation, closings, portfolio curation, bookkeeping — allowing funds to operate with professionalism and reducing overhead for small funds.
