We invest in pre-seed and seed founders across Australia and New Zealand. Sectors: healthtech, clinical AI, AI-native SaaS, AI agents, fintech, B2B SaaS, HRtech, supply chain, logistics, martech, contech, marketplaces, energy. We lead, A$250k-A$750k first cheques.

Follow-on capital first, we back companies that are working, round after round. We wrote Heidi Health's pre-seed cheque and invested in every round to its $65m Series B. Beyond that: intros to the investors leading your next round, and 100+ founders across 70+ companies you can call.

Frequently Asked Questions

We're not ownership-driven. At first cheque, we're typically around or under 10%
Light and fast at pre-seed, because at this stage there is usually not so much data. We spend most of our time on the founders and the market.
Weeks, not months. Most founders have a clear answer within two to three weeks of the first meeting, and we've moved in days when a round demanded it.
Regular, honest updates, including the bad months. Ask us for help early rather than late. Beyond that we stay out of the way: you run the company, and we are available when you want us.
Rarely. At first cheque we don't take a board seat, most companies at this stage don't need a board, they need to ship. Where we lead a larger priced round we'll discuss it, but it's the exception.
Yes, and we use it. Archangel wrote Heidi Health's pre-seed cheque and then invested in every subsequent round through to its $65m Series B. Backing winners repeatedly is a core part of how the fund is built, not an occasional exception.
Yes. We've backed solo founders and we'll do it again.
