Who we are

We are a radically selective founder fellowship and early-stage VC backing outlier founders building transformative tech companies. We invest up to €500,000 and provide weekly 1:1 mentorship from full-time unicorn builders behind companies such as SumUp, Adjust, ProGlove, united-domains and more.

Funding Requirements

We invest in exceptional founders building transformative technology companies with global ambition. We are industry-agnostic but tech-first, with strong interest in AI, machine learning, generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, deep tech, B2B SaaS, developer tools, data infrastructure, fintech, healthtech, medtech, biotech, climate tech, greentech, energy, robotics, cybersecurity, hardware, marketplaces and other frontier technologies.

We invest from idea, patent and prototype stage through early revenue and scaling. Founders can be pre-idea, validating a product, already launched, or generating traction up to roughly €2M ARR. We look for obsession, resilience, speed of execution, technical depth, large markets, and the ambition to build a category-defining company.

Value add

EWOR acts like an ecosystem co-founder for outlier founders. Fellows receive up to €500,000 in funding, weekly 1:1 sparring with full-time unicorn founders, tailored growth support, access to EWOR’s founder platform, hiring and fundraising modules, software credits, community events, investor introductions and the EWOR Grand Pitch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our terms depend on the fellowship track. For the Ideation Fellowship, if EWOR invests, a 3% equity tuition fee applies. For the Traction Fellowship, EWOR invests up to €500k after acceptance, structured as €110k at a €1.5M post-money cap plus €390k through an uncapped SAFE note or similar instrument with MFN terms. We care about keeping the founder’s cap table fundable and align our ownership with long-term company-building.
Our process is founder-first and designed to identify exceptional outlier talent. We review the application, assess founder ambition, resilience, speed of execution, technical or commercial edge, market size, and early proof points such as patents, prototypes, pilots, users, revenue or deep customer insight. Strong-fit founders usually speak with EWOR team members and partners. We focus less on polished business plans and more on founder quality, insight, obsession and the potential to build a globally significant company.
We aim to respond to applications within three weeks. During active application cycles, strong-fit founders may move faster because we dedicate more resources to reviewing applications and making decisions.
We expect founders to build full-time, move fast, be coachable, engage deeply with their EWOR partner, share progress transparently, and use the EWOR ecosystem intensely. The best EWOR fellows actively use weekly 1:1 sparring, community access, hiring support, fundraising preparation, Grand Pitch, expert sessions and peer feedback to accelerate company-building.
Not usually at the first-check stage. EWOR’s model is hands-on fellowship support, weekly 1:1 sparring and strategic mentorship rather than governance-heavy board control. Governance rights, observer rights or advisory structures may be discussed case by case depending on the investment and company stage.
Selectively. We support follow-on fundraising through the EWOR Grand Pitch, curated investor introductions, co-investor access and our broader network of VCs, angels, operators and domain experts. Additional EWOR or affiliated capital may be considered case by case for high-conviction fellows.
Yes. We invest in exceptional founders with or without co-founders. For Ideation, founders can apply before having a complete team. For Traction, we encourage one founder, preferably the CEO or CTO, to apply and list other co-founders if they exist.
Success is backing an outlier founder who builds a category-defining technology company with global impact. We look for founders capable of creating €10B+ outcomes, raising strong follow-on funding, attracting exceptional teams
