Who we are

We are Ganas Ventures, a Latina-led fund backing community-driven startups at pre-seed and seed across the US and Latin America. $100K checks. No warm intro required. GP Lolita Taub has made 100+ investments, previously at Lightspeed, Backstage Capital, K Fund, and Portfolia. Our thesis: community is capital.

Funding Requirements

We invest in community-driven software startups where users already behave like a community before there is a product organizing them.

Sectors: Agnostic. Including but not limited to: SaaS, B2B software, fintech, marketplaces, consumer social, creator economy, future of work, healthtech, edtech, commerce enablement, AI applications.

Geographies: United States, Latin America.

Founder profile: first-time founders, underestimated founders, Latina and Latino founders, women founders, BIPOC founders, LGBTQ founders, immigrant founders, technical and non-technical founders.

Stage: pre-seed, seed, idea stage, pre-revenue, early revenue.

Value add

We open doors: warm customer intros from a 100K+ community, investor intros for your next round, and straight fundraising guidance on whether your round is real and what a "no" meant. Founders also get our free startup-investor matching tool, which has driven 10K+ intros and $30M+ raised.

Frequently Asked Questions

A short update every month or two. Tell us what you need before you need it. We would rather help early than hear about a problem after it has hardened. Beyond that, we do not ask for reporting theater.
A company that outlasts our check and a founder who now has access they did not have before. We measure that in customers introduced, rounds raised, and whether the founder would take our call in five years. The other six ask for fund mechanics I do not have on file: ownership target, diligence process, decision timeline, board seats, follow-on reserves, solo founders. Answer those in one line each or leave blank.
