Who we are

As a subsidiary of leading Swiss health insurance provider Helsana, we have been investing in start-ups and venture funds in digital health across Europe since 2021. Our goal is to improve efficiency and the provision of care in the Swiss healthcare system.

Funding Requirements

We invest in start-ups that improve patients’ access to healthcare. We invest in companies that can demonstrate traction with a scalable business model and are already active in or want to enter the Swiss market.

Fund volume: CHF 100 million (Evergreen)
Stage: Series A to B
Initial ticket size: CHF 1–5 million
Geography: Europe, with a focus on DACH, Benelux and the Nordics
Our connection to an insurer means that we may also invest in companies in the fields of fintech, insurtech or cybersecurity.

What’s out of scope? Everything that’s clearly too early, too late, too small or too big. We don’t invest in biotechnology, life sciences or pharma.

Value add

Helsana has a greater presence in Switzerland’s health insurance sector than any other insurer: 1.4 million people and 60,000 corporate clients are insured with Helsana. Our portfolio companies receive insights, access to the ecosystem and the opportunity to collaborate with Helsana and its partners.
