Yonder is an Austin-based venture firm backing marketplace founders at first-check and pre-seed. Founder Colin Gardiner, former CPO and CRO at Outdoorsy, brings 16+ years of operating experience, helped build $3B+ in rentals and has worked with 100+ marketplaces.

Funding Requirements

We invest $50K-$100K at first-check and pre-seed in marketplaces and network-effect businesses across industries: B2B, B2C, P2P, B2B2C and B2G. Our Marketplace+ thesis combines transactions with SaaS, AI, payments, financing, logistics or compliance to unlock fragmented markets. We seek differentiated supply, better workflows, compounding liquidity and proprietary transaction data. We generally invest in Delaware C corporations at around $10M post-money or below.

Value add

Hands-on support with marketplace liquidity, supply and demand, trust, pricing, take rate and unit economics. We help with go-to-market, hiring and fundraising narratives, plus introductions to operators, customers, talent and follow-on investors.
