The 17 Best AI Pitch Deck Generators [July 2026]

In December 2023, I compared 13 “AI pitch deck builders” in a quick video here.

My conclusion at the time? Everything was bad.

Now it's 2026. The world has changed. We have Gemini, Claude Fable, even Grok! We're long overdue for a rematch.

So, which AI pitch deck generator is the absolute best? 

I tested 17 tools, from pure LLMs like ChatGPT to AI-augmented design tools like Canva. I tested them like a founder would, with a single question in mind: can I get an investor-grade slide? 

Here's my honest, unbiased opinion.

Methodology: What makes a great AI pitch deck generator? 

(skip to the next section if you just want the results)

My goal is to test AI deck generators as “graphic designers”. 

I am not testing storytelling, business planning, or creativity. This is the founder's job. I assume the founder knows the content he or she wants on each slide and provides detailed instructions to the machine, (If it's not your case, check out our slide-by-slide playbook!).

In other words, I am replicating how a founder works with a designer today: give a detailed brief first, then I ask for minor adjustments.

Here's the exact method I followed: 

• Initial prompt: I gave a standard first prompt to generate a Team slide, along with 3 founder photos and 1 company logo. The full prompt is available at the end of this post.
• Follow-up prompts: I gave up to 3 follow-up prompts to adjust the slide as I saw fit. Typically “shorten the text” or “last chance: make it more sleek, modern, and readable”.
• Rating : I rated each slide from 1 (worst) to 5 (best). This relies on my taste and experience, so you might argue with it, but I included every slide, so you can make your own opinion.

All tests have been conducted between July 7 and July 18, 2026. If you think I missed a model, or mistested a model, let me know and I'll update the benchmark.

1. Claude Fable 5 Max 🏆

Fable 5 Max is the clear winner. 

The attention to details is second to none: the white-on-black pills, the circled photos, the orange dot in the title, the use of bold in the bullet points... I didn't ask for any of that, Fable did it on its own.

Just wow!

2. ChatGPT 5.6 Sol Extra High ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ChatGPT had the bad habit of awkwardly grouping content on top. You can clearly see that in the 5.5 test a bit lower.

Good news: it seems like ChatGPT 5.6 solved that issue. Other than that, it's a great slide with a few minor flaws; font is too small in a few places, and the logo could be better sized and positioned.

A strong #2, but still missing the little details of Fable 5.

3. Manus 1.6 Max ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Manus comes in third. The slide doesn't feel as sleek as the first two. It has probably a lot to do with the old-fashioned shadows on the orange lines. Manus also repeats “Team” and “Founding team” for no reason. Still a solid option for an AI pitch deck builder.

4. Gamma (auto-select model) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Originally, Gamma is a “Powerpoint maker” that has been augmented with AI features. For that reason, you cannot do anything you want with a prompt - some features must be used “manually”

For example: I had to upload images separately from the prompt. I had to manually set the 16:9 dimension and the color code (Gamma couldn't retrieve the palette from the uploaded logo). I also had to manually enable the logo as a “header”.

Is it a problem? Yes and no. You gain certainty over a few important parameters, but you also lose some freedom. I guess it's probably fine for 90% of users though, and more in general.

5. ChatGPT 5.5 Extra High ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This slide illustrates a classic ChatGPT issue - grouping all content on top, leaving empty space at the bottom. Despite multiple prompts, I couldn't fix that. Apart from that, there are several minor issues that are easy to manually fix in the PPTX file, but yeah, it's frustrating.

6. Grok 4.3 Expert ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The design from Grok feels a bit underwhelming.

Granted, the vertical bars are original, but they are too long with a bunch of empty space at the bottom. Font sizing is good, but vertical spacing is missing before the first bullet point. Worse, I couldn't fix any of this, despite multiple prompts. And finally, Grok failed to remove the background of the logo.

PS: I wanted to test Grok 4.5, but my (paid) Grok account was still on 4.3. Do better Elon! 

7. Z.ai GLM 5.2 with PPT agent ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The one-shot version from Z.ai had many issues. After another 3 prompts… There are still some issues. Not bad-bad, but not good enough.

8. Genspark AI Slides 5.0 ⭐️⭐️

The slide you're seeing is a one-shot only. Genspark has no Monthly plan, it's Annual only, so I didn't proceed with more shots or PPTX download. So yeah, it could have been good, but we will never know.

Fun fact: GenSpark mixed up the photos of Maya and Jess (despite the fact each image was correctly named).

9. Gemini 3.5 Thinking ⭐️⭐️

Gemini just completely ignored the photos I uploaded. On top of that, you cannot see it in the image, but the logo and some text was placed outside of the slide frame. Big L for Google and their supposedly “multimodal” model.

10. Pitch.com ⭐️⭐️

Many things went wrong with Pitch, as you can clearly see. Annoyingly, the AI agent ignored my instructions to fix it, such as changing background color or switching text to lowercase. Presumably, the “theme settings” (a Pitch thing) override the instructions given to the AI agent by the user.

Also worth noting: the ppt export had the wrong background color (purple instead of grey).

11. Canva ⭐️

Canva has an “AI assistant”, but it is useless. When you ask something, it doesn't do it but it gives you steps to do it yourself. Lol. Canva is just not an AI deck generator.

12. Z.ai GLM 5.2 DeepThink Max ⭐️

This is the version of GLM without the PPT agent. Not only did we lose the founder photos, but the logo is way too small and there's some random text bleeding over the frame. Icing on the cake: the pptx file wouldn't download. Hard pass.

Eliminated: Beautiful.ai, Deepseek, Mistral, Meta.ai, Kimi

A few AI pitch deck generators were eliminated for various reasons: 

• Deepseek and Mistral: do not have a PPTX generation feature.
• Meta.ai: “Not available in your country”
• Kimi K3: " Task paused due to system peak” for a whole day
• Beautiful.ai: “Card declined” but it worked fine for my Americano. Go figure 🤷‍♂️

NB: Why the Team slide? The Team slide is fairly standard, which makes it easy to intercompare results. Also, a Team slide involves multiple images, boxes, bulletpoints, and several levels of information, so it's a good technical test. And finally, my time is limited. Maybe I'll do more slides in the future :)

Create a single 16:9 Team slide for an early-stage startup pitch deck.

Design direction:
Use a modern, sleek, investor-grade design. Match the color palette to the attached logo and apply subtle branding throughout the slide. Use Inter for all text. Keep the layout clean, premium, and easy to read.

Slide structure:
Use one small eyebrow title: TEAM
Use one large headline: Proven operators across smart grilling, edge AI, and DTC growth

Create a three-column layout with one founder card per cofounder. Each card should include:

• Use the attached founder photos
• Founder name
• Role
• 3 concise proof-point bullets
• Emphasis on measurable achievements, domain relevance, and credibility

Design requirements:
Make the slide feel credible, polished, and startup-ready. Use strong spacing, clear hierarchy, balanced founder cards, and subtle accents from the brand palette. Avoid clutter, generic corporate templates, excessive icons, and tiny unreadable text. Do not invent additional facts.

Final output requirement:
Create the slide as an editable presentation file, either PPTX or Google Slides. The slide must be fully editable, not a static image. Use native slide elements, including editable text boxes, editable shapes, and image placeholders where needed. Do not output only markdown, HTML, JSON, or an image.
